SKOR

Breed: Chocolate lab-x
Sex: Male
Age: 2
Good with dogs: Yes
Good with cats: may chase
Good with children: over 16
Weight: to follow

Status: AVAILABLE

Hey, Skor here - and I still need a home!!!! Pls come to the adoption clinic and meet me!

Skor is an outgoing two year old chocolate Lab cross. He has a very affectionate personality and craves human attention. He interacts well with other dogs and has developed a fast friendship with Blossom, they play together well and have about the same energy level.

Skor will benefit from some additional training since he has command of certain basic commands.. That being said, he tries very hard to please people around him, and works at trying to behave in a fashion that gives him positive feedback.

Skor will probably do well in obedience training.

Skor will probably do best in an environment where he is the only dog, or paired with one dog. He requires significant human attention. He will thrive in an environment which provides him good structure and discipline supplemented by large amounts of affection. Skor is wearing a Martindale collar.

This beautiful dog was a money maker form a backyard breeder. Ever wonder where your Brittany puppy came from - she may have been their mom. She is very well socialised with dogs but not with people. She is learning to accept a gentle hand from her foster mom, Mila and her family. She will of course be spayed and never have more puppies again. Her money making days are over...... she will be come a forever pet for a family! She will need a family who will allow her to bloom at her slow speed - are you that family who has patience with dogs who were not socialised?

Mousse

Breed: Maltese
Sex: Male
Age: 2-1/2 yrs old
Good with dogs: Yes
Good with cats: Unknown
Good with children: over 12
Weight: 5.4 kb

Status: Available

I am a 3 year old bichon mix.  I am full of energy and love to gallop circles in the backyard with my 2  four  legged brothers.  I sit  with one haunch on the ground , all crooked-like,   so as to be prepared for the  "lie down" command or to have my tummy rubbed   This allows me to receive my reward earlier by a few milliseconds.     Pretty clever eh?    I sleep quietly throughout the night  in my little doggy bed which is placed  in a large crate beside the bed. .I am housebroken.  I know my commands and return home when called.  I absolutely love to be patted.   I  am an angel on the grooming table.......  cant wait for my fur to grow in so once again I can look like a little white teddy bear with big brown eyes.    I want my adoptive family to know that I  do love car rides but can't help becoming  nauseous and sick in a  very short time.  I am taking gravol for such car situations.  My adoptive family will be rewarded by the sheer happiness that exudes from my presence.....soooooo..... will you consider me?

Dollie

Breed: Chihuahua
Sex: Female
Age: 1-1/2 yrs old
Good with dogs: yes
Good with cats: yes
Good with children: over 12
Weight: 5 lbs

Status: Not available yet

Meet Dolly!  Dolly is a long-haired Chihuahua weighing all of 5 lbs.  Because of her small size and breed, she is timid with strangers, but quickly warms up to you and insists on following you everywhere!  Though a lot of people like dressing up their Chihuahuas and toting them in fancy bags, the most important thing to remember is that Chihuahuas are dogs, not accessories!  They have the same needs and require as much care as any other breed of dog. Dolly's temperament is very "typical Chihuahua" so we urge anyone interested in her to spend some time reading up on the breed first. Dolly is used to doing her business on pee-pee pads, so whoever adopts her will need to work on house-training if they do not want to continue using these pads. She does have cataracts and is waiting to be seen by a specialist. More info on her eye condition will follow as we get it.

Aby

Breed: Fawn Pug
Sex: Female
Age: 4 yrs old
Good with dogs: Yes
Good with cats: No
Good with kids: over 12
Weight: 19
Reason for surrender: Aby was not good with the cat

Status: Available

Aby is a beautiful little Pug whose previous guardians were very heartbroken to give her up, but there were issues with her getting along with the family cat. She is ideally suited for an active home as she is very energetic. She loves people and gets along well with other dogs. She is accustomed to an active lifestyle, often going on hikes of up to 4 km. She’s a lot of personality in a small package.

Aby is completely housebroken, knows all her basic commands, and then some, loves to show off. She also enjoys spending her time just lying beside you. She’s a very very affectionate little girl and loves to cuddle and snuggle, and snort.

Aby would be best suited for a home with a fenced yard and not an apartment or condo, because she does tend to bark at movement that catches her eye. So, if you think you and Aby might be a good match, she’s currently taking applications to be her BFF (best forever friend)!

We cannot guarantee breed or temperament. Breed listing and descriptions are based on our own experience with the dogs

Please fill out an application if you think that you can offer Aby a forever home.

Sienna

Breed: Kelpie
Sex: Female
Age: to follow
Good with dogs: Yes
Good with cats: unknown
Good with children: over 12
Weight: 38 lbs

Status: Available

Sienna is an affectionate, intelligent 2 year old Australian Kelpie. She weighs just under forty pounds, which would be the target weight for her to maintain.

A former barn dog, she has adapted well to home living. She is clean in the house, and asks to go outside when necessary.

Sienna is a bit timid when exposed to new environments with unfamiliar noises and activities, but she puts her trust in her guardian and stays close for reassurance.

She is sociable with other dogs, displaying a receptive and friendly behaviour in diverse settings such as the home, the veterinarian’s office, and the dog park.

Sienna is happiest when she can cuddle up with her guardian, she craves attention and affection, and is very eager to please. This eagerness also translates into a very trainable dog, she responds well to the commands she knows and is attentive at all times. If she is unsure of what is being asked of her, her first instinct is to sit and pay attention.

Sienna is an active dog, and loves to run and play outside, but this is balanced by a generally calm comportment in the house. She will play with another dog in the house if play is initiated, but she is just as happy trailing around the house following her guardian.

Sienna will make a great addition to a family, she has an adaptable nature and will make a wonderful companion for years to come.
